Accredited course work for educators in Leon County
The Power of Places: Visualizing History in Tallahassee and Leon County (prehistory -1940s): The course is based on the Teaching with Historic Places concept, developed by the National Park Service and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Class participants become more acquainted with the diverse history in their community by touring local historic buildings and sites, by hearing from knowledgeable guest speakers, and by receiving a packet with source information. The course work presented provides educators with information needed to develop lesson plans and field trips.

The session includes presenting an overview about the history of Tallahassee and Leon County using visual images of significant local historic resources.
Small Group Courses
Course work includes historic preservation planning for professionals and owners of historic properties.
